How to Photograph a SANY Part for Identification

To photograph a SANY part for identification, send a clear machine nameplate, every readable part or package label, the connection and mounting faces, and a dimension photo with a scale. Take the photographs before cleaning, removing or separating anything. A model name and one distant product photo are not enough to identify a replacement safely.

Build one complete photo set before removal

Take the photographs in a fixed order, so the person checking them can connect the component to the machine instead of trying to reconstruct the job from a gallery of close-ups.

1. Location photo. Step back far enough to show where the component sits on the machine, engine, hydraulic circuit or cylinder.
2. Whole-part photo. Photograph the complete part in place, then again after removal if it is safe to remove it.
3. Label and number photos. Take one square, readable image of every label, engraving, barcode, casting mark and package sticker. Do not crop the edge of the label.
4. Interface photos. Show every connector face, threaded end, sealing surface, hydraulic port, mounting ear and bolt pattern that helps distinguish the part.
5. Scale photo. Put a ruler or caliper beside the relevant feature. Keep the unit visible and photograph the measurement straight on.
6. Machine evidence. Include the full nameplate and, where relevant, the engine, pump, motor or controller plate.

Keep original-resolution images. Messaging-app compression can make one digit, pin location or thread detail unreadable. If the machine or hydraulic system must be made safe before a photograph is taken, follow the procedure for that machine and use qualified service staff where required.

Photograph a filter from both ends

For a filter, a side view and a part number are only the start. A spin-on filter needs the threaded opening and gasket face; a cartridge needs both end caps, inner bore, seals and any open or closed end. Photograph the filter head or housing label when the element number is missing.

State whether the part is an air, fuel, engine-oil, hydraulic return, suction or another circuit-specific filter. Photograph an air-filter primary and safety element together when both were removed. Do not select a filter only by colour, height or approximate diameter; thread, seal seat, end-cap design and filter function can all differ. Photograph every controller label and connector

For a monitor, controller or sensor, take the main label first, then smaller revision, inspection or barcode labels. Capture the entire connector face straight on, not at an angle. Pin count, keying, blank positions and connector colour can be decisive even when two units share the same housing.

Record the SANY number, component-maker code, hardware revision, voltage marking, serial or date code, and any printed software or calibration number. Do not force a near-matching plug or power an unidentified controller outside the correct machine procedure. Photograph a seal kit with its parent component

A bag of loose rings does not identify a seal kit. Before opening an intact package, photograph the package label and its full contents. If seals have already been removed, lay them out in removal order, show the cylinder, valve or motor they came from, and include a scale beside the relevant seals.

Name the parent component precisely: boom, arm or bucket cylinder; track adjuster; swivel joint; main control valve; foot valve; or a named motor. Add dimensions without creating false certainty

Dimensions help rule out obviously different parts; they do not prove that two components are interchangeable. Photograph the measuring tool in the same frame and record what is being measured: outside diameter, inner bore, thread, seal-seat diameter, port spacing, connector width, rod diameter or cylinder bore. A separate close-up of an unreadable ruler is not useful evidence.

For a hydraulic motor, valve or travel unit, show the complete maker plate, each hydraulic port, the mounting pattern and the machine-side interface. Send the photo set with the search result

Search every readable string in the part-number lookup, then keep the result URL or returned part number with the photographs. If the search has no result, that is still useful: send the original query instead of guessing a near match.
